Sorting Office Rush is a game where you play a postal clerk racing to route falling letters and parcels into the matching colored mailbox before they hit the floor. The screen shows three large mailboxes lined up at the bottom in red, blue, and yellow, while solid rectangular envelopes and parcels with a matching colored stamp drop steadily from the top of the screen. Drag each falling item directly onto the mailbox that matches its stamp color, or tap the item once to select it and then tap the correct mailbox to send it there; on a keyboard, press 1, 2, or 3 to send the currently highlighted item to the red, blue, or yellow mailbox. Sorting an item into the matching mailbox adds to your score shown at the top of the screen, while dropping an item into the wrong mailbox or letting it hit the floor costs one of your three lives shown as envelope icons; when all lives are lost the screen freezes and displays the reason in plain words, such as 'Wrong Bin: Blue Parcel' or 'Missed: Red Letter', alongside your final score and a large Restart button.
